Dan DeFluiter, Sandan

Daniel deFluiter started Aikido under Dr. Walker, who was Nidan when Mr deFluiter started in 08/1979. He received his Shodan in 04/19/1994, under Dr. Walker (who had achieved godan by then). He received his Nidan on 06/13/1998, and Sandan on 04/29/2003. Both Nidan and Sandan were ranked under both Dr. Walker& Mr. Jones (who was ranked godan under Dr. walker). After Dr. Walker had passed away from cancer Mr DdeFluiter transitioned to Enmei Dojo under Dr. Alan Drysdale, godan. He delayed testing for yondan so he could persue spinal surgery completed at Laser Spine Institute in Tampa 09/01/2010. By 11/24/2010 all medical constraints were removed and he has since been rebuilding his flexibility and physical strength. He has enjoyed training with all of the yudansha who teach at Enmei Dojo as each brings their valuable insight into the art.
